ANTHRAX reunites to spotlight the "heavy metals" poisoning people

NEW YORK—On April 1, 2005, the band ANTHRAX reunited for a press conference in New York City with a high purpose in mind for the "heavy metal" rock scene. Partnering with Slave to the Metal™ Foundation (www.slavetothemetal.org), ANTHRAX is expanding the portal for heavy metal music fans and the music industry to raise awareness and provide funds to those organizations and individuals that fight against the misuse of heavy metals (i.e. depleted uranium, mercury and lead) and who are rising up in outrage over other misanthropic and genocidal initiatives such as the forceful administration to our soldiers of the untested and unapproved anthrax vaccine.

"Slave to the Metal Foundation is representative of the highest social aspirations of the heavy metal scene," explained Anthrax bassist Frank Bello.

For the last 20 years, the heavy metal mercury has been covertly injected directly into the arms of almost every child in this generation under the government’s mandated childhood vaccine program. The resulting brain damage has produced a generation of hyperactive, learning disabled, autistic, asthmatic children with behavior disorders that doctors treat with suicidal and homicidal drugs like Paxil, Prozac and Zoloft. Notwithstanding the aforementioned, the CDC, FDA and Congress have not seen fit to remove the heavy metal out of vaccines. Moreover, since the first Gulf War, the United States has covertly dropped tons of nuclear wastes in the form of depleted uranium munitions (another heavy metal) on Iraq, the Balkans, Yugoslavia, Afghanistan and Iraq which has caused high incidences of birth defects and cancer among civilians in these regions—and in U.S. soldiers.

Notable speakers at the press conference included Barbara Loe Fisher of the National Vaccine Information Center, Randi Airola of the Military Vaccine Education Center, and Vera Hassner Sharav of the Alliance for Human Research Protection. Fisher gave a concise, outstanding speech that she ended by reminding us that:

"The soldiers hurt by the anthrax vaccine, just like the children hurt by mandatory childhood vaccines, had no voice and had no choice. If you want to make sure that you have the freedom to decide which vaccines you are willing to risk your life for, you need to get informed, get involved and stand up for your rights just like the band, Anthrax, is doing today."

A flyer that was available at the press conference by Scott Miller, producer of the documentary "Direct Order" (www.directorder.org) states:

"You are next — The latest government law, The BioShield Act gives the Department of Defense the power to administer untested and unapproved drugs and vaccines to military personnel and civilians in times of ‘potential emergency’ whether real or not, without informed consent.

"U.S. District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan issued an interim order to halt the administration of the anthrax vaccine until the FDA finalized its approval. However, once fast tracked, the issue still remains that it is now a matter of law that the government can force vaccines on both the military and the American men, women and children without consent or choice in case of a ‘potential’ emergency.

"It is the considered opinion of those in politics that Congress will not repeal this Act nor define ‘potential’ emergency."

Although many activists nationwide were a bit upset that such an important issue would receive media attention from the reunion of a heavy metal band, premier activist Larry Hanus put their support of this press conference this way:

"Despite  ‘Heavy Metal’ pre-conceptions and  concerns regarding offensive dialogue of heavy metal, ‘politically correct’ channels have not stopped them [government] from killing us.

"This is a door God has opened...few others seem to be listening.

The importance of a strong grassroots movement in this country at this time in our history is best summed up in the quote on top of the National Vaccine Information Center’s flyer at this event:

"If the State can tag, track down and force citizens against their will to be injected with biologicals of unknown toxicity today, there will be no limit on what individual freedoms the State can take away in the name of the greater good tomorrow."
