From the December 2001 Idaho Observer:

Get your natural medicine cabinet together now

by Ingri Cassel

The Model State Emergency Health Powers Act would force us to endure state prescribed medical interventions such as vaccinations or face criminal charges. Years of lobbying on the part of pharmaceutical companies may soon lead to a codification of herbs, botanicals and high potency vitamins under Codex Alimentarius that would force us to obtain a doctor's prescription before purchasing or using them. It is within this framework I urge you to get your medicine cabinet together immediately.

Over the last two years we have covered many of “The Basics” in this column. The importance of those columns has increased dramatically in the last few weeks. If you have been a subscriber for the last few years, revisit those columns now as if your life and the lives of your friends and family depend upon it -- as indeed they may. If you are new to this paper, please access this vital information through our website at: http://proliberty.com/observer

Previous columns have addressed the basics of detoxification through fasting and colon cleansing; the use of blood purifying herbs and liver detoxification; hydration (water therapy - www.watercure2.com); oxygenation through deep breathing and the use of 35 percent food grade hydrogen peroxide; incorporating more raw foods and purchasing a juicer; and electromagnetic therapy that can be as basic as utilizing prayer in every aspect of your life.

Most health problems are emotional and spiritual in nature. By not addressing these vital issues in our life, health problems will persist and only be addressed symptomatically for temporary relief.

The first step is to make sure you start nurturing yourself through the power of prayer and positive affirmations; realize that you are not here to fulfill your earthly desires but to be of service to your friends, family and the world around you. Take time each and everyday to center yourself in your purpose by asking our Creator for guidance and direction. Next, ask our Creator for the strength to change your lifestyle habits to ones that nurture your body so that you have the strength to meet the challenges that are coming to us all.

A few items I recommend to have on hand at all times:

1) a source of purified water

2) 35 percent food grade hydrogen peroxide

3) colloidal or ionized silver water

4) various herbs such as cayenne, yarrow, comfrey, chaparral, black walnut hulls, garlic, cascara sagrada, lobelia, peppermint and others.

5) Access to organic vegetables, fruits and non-hybrid seeds.

If you are not well oriented with basic natural healing principles, consider purchasing three basic books that will orient even newcomers to the basics of “naturecure”. These books are Food is Your Best Medicine by Dr. Henry G. Bieler, MD; Today's Herbal Health by Louise Tenney; and Dr. Christopher's Three Day Cleansing Program, Mucusless Diet and Herbal Combinations.

The Idaho Observer is once again offering these three books for only $25 including shipping and handling, while supplies last.

Finally, it is now more important than ever to learn about the plants and herbs that are indigenous to where you live. Many communities offer classes through the county extension office or the local college where you can learn about plant identification and how to harvest and prepare local herbs. Learning about the natural world and how to utilize the bounty that nature provides us will become increasingly important as we strive to heal ourselves and the world around us.
