For those of you who live in Idaho, I have put together some
comprehensive comma-delimited files (.csv). These files include a
district-by-district breakdown of ALL Idaho Legislators' email, phone, address,
fax, occupation, party, spouse's name, tenure, and committee assignments.
Comma-delimited files may be imported directly into the ADDRESS BOOK of most
email programs (and imported directly into most spreadsheet programs). <Save
the attachment to your desktop. Open Outlook or Outlook Express. Goto
"File"--"Import/export" and follow the directions. You will be required to "map"
the names of the imported database ( i.e., drag the "name" label from the left
window and drop it beside the "name" label for your email program in the right
window).> You can then create a "GROUP" of all legislators and contact them
ALL by sending one email. If anyone wants further instruction on how to do this,
let me know. If you have Microsoft Excel or ACCESS, I can send you a .xls file
or a .mdb file that can be sorted by name, district, committee, etc. and used in
many different ways.
For those of you who do not have a clue what I am
writing about, I have pasted "email" versions of the files below. Please forgive
the "HTML", but the columns would not be right without the HTML formatting. Set
your email program to read HTML-formatted mail. If the table below looks wrong,
you are on your own.
